Citymonk is an 8 tracks album written by Make Like a Tree where each song is a collaboration with a new artist from other country.
Imagine that you sit in a comortable chair in a room with a lights off but with a beautiful view from the window and you are watching september raindrops running down by the surface of your window and suddenly one by one a very special friends of you start coming to same room, bringing musical instruments and filling it in with music tunes and warm conversations full of nice memories and flashbacks from good old times. This is what this album means to me. It was recordered in my room in my hometown Kharkiv in Ukraine, during super tough times for me and I felt like Im a Citymonk myself. I was playing to a concrete Gods of streets and meditating in alcho stores late at night. My friends helped me a lot and Its devoted to them!
For the winter I have escaped to Bali where I Mixed and Mastered whole album myself in a tiny little room in Canggu.
I self released it on my own diy label Ears of Bears. I Love you all my beautiful friends who supported me and still helping me out in every single moment as I feel you are always in my heart and this fullfills my life with happiness!
